Obituary of Lee F. McGann

Lee F. McGann, age 59, passed away on November 24, 2016. He was born in Manchester, CT on August 19, 1957, the son of Francis T. and the late Shirley (Brennan) McGann. Lee was a resident of Royersford, PA, formerly of Coventry, RI. Lee was born with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy which he fought all his life. Lee's first love was music. He had a beautiful singing voice and was a talented guitar player. He expressed himself through his music and poetry which he enjoyed writing. He was a sports fanatic; a passionate Red Sox and Patriots fan. Lee was a gifted computer programmer and enjoyed working with technology. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends every Saturday night for over 10 years. He was an inspiration to those he met and will be dearly missed by many who loved him. Survivors include his father, Francis McGann of Pottstown, PA; sister, Gina Jefferson of Royersford, PA; brother, Martin McGann of Horseheads , NY; sister, Lisa ( & Paul ) Lancellotta of Johnston, RI; sister, Teri ( & Dan ) Dunsmore of North Port, FL; sister, Kelly Domin of Pottstown, PA; sister, Chris ( & Tom ) Rice of Douglassville, PA; brother in law, David Jefferson of Douglassville, PA; 12 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley McGann, a sister, Laura Goulart and a brother, Marc McGann. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church. Interment is private.
