William has been a resident of Parkhouse Providence Point for 13 years, formerly of Royersford and Graterford where he was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church. He honorably served our country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing the banjo as past of the bluegrass band, "Gospel Strings".

Obituary of William W. Oelschlager

William W. Oelschlager, 81, of Royersford, PA passed away on January 19, 2017. He was born in Bergey, PA on November 18, 1935, the son of the late George L. and Norine Mae (Jenks) Oelschlager. William has been a resident of Parkhouse Providence Point for 13 years, formerly of Graterford where he was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church. He honorably served our country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing the banjo as part of the bluegrass band, "Gospel Strings". Survivors include his son, Michael ( & Tina ) Oelschlager of Hatfield, son, John ( & Judy) Oelschlager of Royersford, daughter, Darlene ( & Mark) Chuck of Royersford, daughter, Sharon ( & William) Seal of Royersford, son, Thomas ( & Paige) Oelschlager of East Greenville, four sisters, Marie Geiser, Ruth Meng, Verda Yablonski, and Eleanore Jenkins; three brothers, Ron Oelschlager, Robert Oelschlager, and Alan Oelschlager; as well as 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by three brothers, George Oelschlager, David Oelschlager, and Paul Oelschlager; as well as one sister, Virginia Saunders. His Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Sunday evening, January 22, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and on Monday morning from 10:00 to11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Limerick Garden of Memories. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Grant Street, Suite 900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
