Obituary of James P. Detwiler, Jr.

James P. Detwiler, Jr., 82, of Limerick, PA passed away on April 8, 2017. He was born in Norristown, PA on May 16, 1934, the son of Ida (Detterlene) and James P. Detwiler, Sr. James has been living in Limerick for 17 years, formerly of East Norriton. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Limerick and a former member of Olivet United Church of Christ of East Norriton where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting, travel and baking. He worked as an Electrician with Local 380. James honorably served in the U.S Army. Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Wisniewski) Detwiler of Limerick; daughter, Suzanne (& Thomas) Simpson of Limerick; and son, Jeffrey Detwiler of Limerick. James is the grandfather of Thomas (& Lauren), Melissa & Katelyn Simpson and Jessica Detwiler; and great grandfather of Taylor Simpson. He is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Lee of Boyertown and Barbara Emmett of North Port, FL. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Limerick Garden of Memories.
