Obituary of Joseph E. Slawek, Jr.

Joseph E. Slawek, Jr., 82, of Philadelphia, PA and Marco Island, FL, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017.  

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 22, 1935.

 

Joseph was living in Philadelphia and Marco Island, FL.

He was a graduate of St. Joseph Prep and St. Joseph University.

He worked as a physicist.

Joseph enjoyed boating and was a lifelong golfer.

He was a member of St. David's Golf Club of Wayne, PA and Island Club of Marco Island, FL.

He enjoyed spending time on Long Beach Island, NJ.  

 

Son the the late Joseph E. & Thelma H. ( Stanert ) Slawek.

Beloved husband of Eileen (McDevitt) Slawek and the late Diane (Kane) Slawek. 

 

Survivors include his

Wife: Eileen (McDevitt) Slawek of Lafayette Hill, PA;

Daughter: Kimberly A. Slawek of London, England;

Son: Dr. Joseph E. Slawek, III of Moorestown, NJ;

Daughter: Cindy Wittstock  of Darien, CT;

Step Son: Paul Heck of Worcester, PA;

Step Son: Bruce Heck of Gwynedd, PA;

Step Daughter: Eileen Nigro of Blue Bell, PA;

Step Daughter: Kimberly Cilio of Malvern, PA;

Step Daughter: Kellyann Cilio of Blue Bell, PA;

Brother : Dr. Michael (& Barbara) Slawek of Miquon, PA;

Brother: Dr. Peter Slawek of Ft. Lauderdale, FL;

Sister: Sue Lynam of Philadelphia, PA;

Also survived by 12 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.                       

 

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10:30 AM

from the St. Philip Neri RC Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. 

 

Friends may call on Friday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. 

 

Interment will be private in Calvary Cemetery of Lower Merion, PA. 

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: St. Joseph Preparatory School, 1733 West Girard Ave, Philadelphia, Pa 19130.
