Obituary of Rosemary G. White

Rosemary G. (McParland) White, age 90, passed peacefully in her sleep on March 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia on Feb. 8, 1923, she lived in Jeffersonville most of her life. She was the wife of the late Loren O. White. During World War II, she worked at the Federal Building tracking U.S. Naval vessels and was active in the USO. She was a beauty pageant winner, and wrote a song for Bing Crosby; "The Jitter Jive" which he recorded. As a secretary, she worked at Valley Forge Medical Army Hospital for several years. Mrs. White was a real lover of books and loved to travel, especially to religious shrines. She is survived by sons Michael (Sandra), Robert (Deborah), William (Josephine), Patrick (Elizabeth), and Richard, six grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of her life at The Chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pk., Limerick PA 19468 on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 12:00 P.M.. Entombment will follow.
