Obituary of Philip P. Rothwein

Philip P. Rothwein, 79, of East Norriton, passed away on Saturday Oct. 4, 2014, at his home in East Norriton, Pa. with his loving family at his side. Born in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, Pa. on April 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Philip C. and Josephine (Fischer) Rothwein. He would have been married to his wife, Marie M. (Kirkbride) Rothwein for 60 years in June. Philip has resided in East Norriton for the last 57 years. He was a member of St. Helena's RC Church of Blue Bell, Pa. He attended Ursinus College and Wharton School of Business. He was a former member of Lions, Rotary, & Jaycee's of Collegeville, Pa. He was a retired assistant Vice President with PNC Bank, and also served as Past President of MontCo Banking Association. Philip enjoyed hunting and fishing especially at his cabin in Dushore, Pa as well as boating and fishing in Cape May, NJ He was survived by his wife; son, Philip (and Charlene) Rothwein of Williamsport, Pa.; daughters, Julie (and David) Knight of Red Hill, Pa., and Barbara (and Robert) Pickell of Collegeville, Pa.; brother, Francis Rothwein of Deptford, N.J.; and sister, Dolores Lynch of Harrisburg, Pa. He was also survived by seven grandchildren; Ashley (and Kevin) Moll, Kyle Knight, Emily Knight, Philip Knight, Deana Rothwein, Tayler Rothwein, Robert Pickell, and great granddaughter, Juliette Moll. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a Sister Helen Ignas, and a brother Harry Rothwein. His Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Helena RC Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike,, Blue Bell, Pa 19422. Fr. Joseph J. Nicolo will officiate. There will be a visitation for relatives and friends on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the church. Interment will be private.
