Obituary of Richard M. Tornetta

Richard Michael Tornetta, 65, of Conshohocken, Pa, passed away Monday November 16th, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. Richard was born in Norristown, Pa, on October 4th, 1950. After graduating from Holy Saviors, then Bishop Kenrick High School and Montgomery County Technical School in 1970, he went on to achieve several certificates in training for welding, design, blueprint reading, and business management; allowing for a long & successful career in the trucking equipment industry with Florig Trucking. In 2002, he Co-Founded Triad Truck Equipment in Pottstown, Pa. In his youth, Rich was a Boy Scout, Eagle Scout, and later bred and raced pigeons, winning many awards & trophies throughout his life. Richard was an avid hunter, fisherman, and archer. He relished in being outdoors, traveling, spending time with his extremely large & loving family, and taking hunting and fishing trips with friends across the U.S. His most accomplished trip was a South African Safari, where he gamed a Gemsbuck with the 2nd largest antlers on record. Richard was a member of many clubs, including The Stoney Creek Anglers, Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club, Greater Philadelphia Pigeon Club, Greater Western Combine Club, & Suburban Combine Club. He was an integral part of the community; helping any and all whenever in need, he will be missed by many and remembered by all whose lives he touched. Richard is the son of the late Francis Tornetta and Julie (Muscarella) Tornetta Survived by: Wife: Elizabeth Tornetta, of Conshohocken, PA Daughters: Julie Tornetta (& Kristopher) Hightower, of Las Vegas, NV Anni Tornetta, of Conshohocken, PA Grandchildren: Gabriella Tornetta and Johnny Trofa Brother: Frank (& Deborah) Tornetta, of East Norriton, PA Sister: Carmella "Dolly" (& Thomas) Burgess, of Oaks, PA Sister-In-Law: Sarah Tornetta, of Plymouth Meeting, PA Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his grandson, Ethan Michael Tornetta-Mancour; 3 Brothers: Lawrence, Vincent, & Jackie Tornetta; and 2 sisters: Marie Horning, and Jeannie Murray. Funeral Mass for Richard will be held Saturday, December 5th, 2015; at Saint Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, located at 219 Fayette Street Conshohocken, PA 19428.
