Obituary of Marie Mary Anne Brady

Marie ( McMorrow ) Brady, 91, of Conshohocken, PA passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

She was born in Dromahair, County Leitrim, Ireland, on October 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Phillip and Katie ( McSharry ) McMorrow. Marie studied under the Ursuline nuns and was one of their star students. She left Ireland at an early age. Before arriving in America, by way of the Queen Elizabeth , she worked as a Double Decker Bus attendant in London, England. Marie went on to live in Conshohocken for over 60 years. She was a faithful and beloved member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, Pa.

Marie worked over 41 years for Acme Markets at their Conshohocken store. She served as the Union Steward for Local 1776 even after her retirement. Marie could still be seen walking the picket line up until a few years ago. She was a champion for everyone rights including lobbying state representatives in Harrisburg on work place issues. Marie’s other employment included Philadelphia National Bank and the Long Island State Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late - Martin B. Brady.

Survivors include, Son Bernard (& Mimi) Brady of Conshohocken, Son John (& Bridget) Brady of Plymouth Meeting, Sister Eta McMorrow of Collegeville, Grandchildren Shane Brady, Bridget Brady, Ryan Brady, Kyle Brady and Ian Brady, also survived by nieces and nephews Raisl, Mscisz, Clancy and Tiernan families in Conshohocken as well as the many family members in Ireland who she loved and was very close with. Her family was the most important thing in her life and her greatest achievement.

Marie will always be remembered for her kindness, humor and sense of adventure.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Patrick McMorrow and John McMorrow and 2 sisters Alice Tiernan and Kathleen Clancy.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the church.

Interment will take place in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's memory to St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428.
