Theresa Marie Hyer-Mitchell

Theresa Marie Hyer-Mitchell, 66, of Conshohocken, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Norristown, PA, on September 13, 1958, the daughter of the late J. Lawrence and the late Theresa (Pinelli) Hyer.

She was a lifelong resident of Plymouth Township and a 1976 graduate of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. She worked in the maintenance department at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 835. Prior to that, she worked for several years in the maintenance department at Valley Forge National Park, where she took great pride in preserving the park's natural beauty and historical significance.

Terry was an accomplished cook, a talented gardener, and a devoted animal lover. She found joy in preparing meals for family and friends, tending to her beautiful garden, and caring for the animals that brought her so much happiness. Her love for animals extended beyond her home, as she also worked at the SPCA, dedicating her time to the care and well-being of animals in need.

She married Douglas K. Mitchell in October of 1989.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Douglas Mitchell; step-son, Shawn (Vanessa) Mitchell; four grandchildren, Kailey, Keira, Korrine, and Kellan Mitchell; a sister, Maggie (Charles) Starkey; and two brothers, Larry Hyer and John Hyer.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private at a later date.
