Mass of Christian Burial
Obituary of Lorraine Panaccio
Lorraine Panaccio, 73, of New Hanover Township, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 17, 1951, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Zakarewski) Panaccio.
For the past 40 years, Lorraine made her home in New Hanover Township, previously residing in Bryn Mawr and King of Prussia, PA. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, where she found great joy in attending daily Mass, participating in Rosary and Divine Mercy devotions, and engaging in the WINGS Bible Study.
Lorraine had a deep love for horticulture and conservation, and was an active member of Natural Lands and the Four Counties Garden Club. She found great fulfillment in cooking and baking for her loved ones, filling her home with warmth and delicious dinners, and a giant cookbook collection. Always staying busy, she loved spending her time traveling, biking, laughing with her siblings, and skiing with her kids in Colorado.
An expert seamstress, she owned and operated a custom interiors business, applying her eye for creativity and detail, but her greatest joy was found in being a stay-at-home mom and creating a warm, loving home for her children and grandchildren. Lorraine discovered a love of sailing in her later years, and it was at an event with her sailing club Singles On Sailboats (SOS) where she met her fiancé, Peter—their trips on The Belvedere became a cherished chapter in her journey.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Brian Andzejewicz (Kim Shaw) of Boulder, CO; Karen (Ryan) Kelty of Denver, CO; and Christine Stone (Richard Waller) of Denver, CO. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony (Carol) Panaccio of East Norriton, PA; her sisters, Maureen (Thomas) Aiken and Christine (Martin) Cippolone, both of Exton, PA; her adored grandchildren, Oliver and Stella; and eight loving nieces and nephews.
She will also be dearly missed by her fiancé, Peter Breit; his sons, Matthew (Sarabeth) Breit and Joshua Breit (Kate Kreno); and Peter’s grandchildren, Sebastian, Piper, and Domenic. Lorraine is also survived by her former husband and lifelong friend, Herman Andzejewicz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the church, prior to Mass.
Interment will take place Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made in Lorraine’s honor to the American Heart Association https://www.heart.org/en/
