Charles Epting Obituary

Charles "Chick" Epting, 74, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away with his wife by his side on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

He was born in Camden, NJ on December 6, 1950, the son of the late Charles and the late Dorothy (Ewing) Epting.

Chick has been living in Plymouth Meeting for over 48 years, formerly of Lafayette Hill, Pa and Camden, NJ where he was born and raised.

He was a self employed painting contractor at Charles Epting Painting for over 20 years, then worked for a commercial painter until he retired.

Chick enjoyed fishing, he was a MAJOR Philly sports fan and was super happy to watch the Philadelphia Eagles raise the Lombardi trophy for the 2nd time. He loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean, enjoyed animals and loved holidays and spending time with his family. Chick had a unique sense of humor, which we referred to as “the Chick humor”. Despite his 3 year long battle with cancer, Chick fought gracefully and never ever complained. When asked how he was feeling, he replied with his famous words “Never had a bad day in my life”!

He was the husband of Deborah R. (Shatz) Epting.

Survivors include his wife Deborah Epting of Plymouth Meeting and two daughters, Janice Selig of Lafayette Hill and Michelle (Joseph) Bucci of Plymouth Meeting. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gianna, Jordyn, Mia, Joe and Jada.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join us for his viewing/service on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 9:00am to 10:30am at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA followed by his burial at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken, 2025 Old Gulph Rd, Villanova PA 19085.
