Obituary of Gregory Davidson
Greg Davidson was the longest tenured employee of Mike’s York Street Bar & Grill in Warminster for over 25 years. He was currently working at Mikes York Road Tavern at the same location. He was a cherished resident of Hatboro and our friend. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him will tell you what a wonderful person he was, unfortunately on February 2nd 2025, just 8 days before he was to celebrate his 69th birthday, Greg passed away. That day the world sure lost a good one. If you asked him how he was doing he would always say “excellent as we speak”. When anyone spoke of Greg the first thing, they mention is his kindness. He was an example of kindness that we all should aspire to be like.
Greg was a musician and played the trumpet. He appreciated all types of music. He was also a great fan of all Philadelphia sports. He coined the phrase “It’s a Philly Thing” back in the 1970’s when he had it printed on a tee shirt along with the logos for the Phillies, Flyers, 76’ers and his beloved Eagles.
Here is a quote from someone who knew Greg well.
“We should honor this man. He was the epitome of what a great soul looks like."
