Obituary of Agnes M. Patrylak

Agnes (Kazda) Patrylak, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Agnes, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world surrounded by love and fond memories on March 31, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and love that will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born and raised with a love for music and a vibrant spirit, Agnes spent her early years singing and working alongside her family in their barroom, where her passion for music blossomed. She had an unparalleled memory for songs from the 1940s and 1950s, a talent that brought joy to those around her throughout her life. Dancing the polka with her beloved husband, Joseph, brought her immeasurable happiness, and their adventures together spanned from the vibrant streets of New York City to the serene shores of Catalina Island.

Agnes and Joseph's travels took them to destinations such as Cuba, as well as to iconic landmarks like Niagara Falls and the historic streets of St. Augustine. She often credited the mystical waters of these places, particularly the fabled Fountain of Youth for her long life.

Her love for her family knew no bounds. Agnes raised six children – five daughters: Gloria Campbell (the late Charles), Dolores Symancek (Mark), Shirley Patrylak, Nancy Seiple (John), Rita Lacey (Brian), and one son, Joseph Patrylak (Holly), 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She found immense joy in nurturing her growing family, surrounding them with love, and creating cherished memories together.

Agnes had a passion for creativity, whether it was arranging beautiful bouquets of flowers, painting ceramics, or sewing. She found solace and fulfillment in these artistic pursuits, and her creations will serve as lasting reminders of her talent and creativity.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to live on through her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her memory will forever be cherished, her spirit forever remembered, and her love forever felt.

In honoring Agnes's memory, we celebrate the vibrant life she lived and the profound impact she had on all who knew her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the melodies of her favorite songs and the love of those who adored her.
