Obituary of Jason R. Cook
Jason R. Cook, age 50, of Collegeville, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025 at his home.
He was born in West Chester, PA on March 26, 1975, the son of Kathleen (Hastings) Cook and the late Paul B. Cook, Jr.
Jason lived most of his life in Collegeville. For more than 20 years, he was a dedicated Social Studies teacher at Perkiomen Valley Middle School West. Early in his career, he coached middle school football for Perkiomen Valley and, more recently, was a PIAA football and basketball referee. In his spare time, Jason could be found exploring the area's newest craft breweries and best pizza spots, bringing home his favorite brews for Thirsty Thursdays , or serving them up while watching the Eagles. Often referred to as the Mayor, Jason was beloved by all who knew him. He brought laughter to every gathering with an endless supply of dad jokes. He was always willing to lend help to others and his handyman skills became quite advanced over the years.
His family was Jason's greatest source of happiness and pride. He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 25 years, Suzanne L. Cook (née Romano) and their three wonderful children, Reilly Cook, Sydney Cook and Noah Cook. He is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Cook; two brothers, Paul (Leigh) Cook and Jeffery (Katie) Cook; father in-law and mother in-law, Richard and JoAnn Romano; two sisters in-law, Karen (Ray) Wells and Michelle (Todd) Gehman; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jason’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Most important to Jason would be the gathering of family and good friends to honor his life. Please feel free to dress casually. Philadelphia sports attire is appropriate to honor Jason's love of his local teams.
Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made in Jason’s name to Main Line Animal Rescue, 1149 Pike Springs Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425.
