Obituary of Mark C. Bokelman

Mark C. Bokelman, age 65, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born in Green Port, NY, July 1959.

 

Mark was raised in Doylestown, PA, where he attended Central Bucks East High School and graduated with the Class of 1977. He went on to study Business at Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA, where he became a proud member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. There, he formed lifelong bonds with his fraternity brothers and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Business.

 

Mark remained a dedicated alumnus of Phi Kappa Sigma and was recently honored for serving 10 years as President of the House Alumni Board for the Phi Kappa Sigma and Psi Chapter. A passionate supporter of Penn State athletics, Mark was a longtime season ticket holder for both football and wrestling.

 

Professionally, Mark built a distinguished career in Regulatory Policy and Intelligence, specializing in drug development and life-cycle management. He most recently worked at EMD Serono within the Global Regulatory & Scientific Policy U.S. group. His colleagues described him as a trusted advisor, an accomplished investigator, and a cherished friend within the global scientific affairs community.

 

Mark will be remembered for his integrity, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He was a man of profound kindness and generosity, always ready to offer support and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

 

Mark is survived by his sister, Lorrie Bokelman of West Norriton, PA; his brother, John Bokelman of Brigantine, NJ; his sister and brother-in-law, Amy and James Jamison of Brigantine, NJ; and his four beloved nieces, Olivia and Madelynn Bokelman, Hannah and Alexandra Jamison.

 

Mark was preceded in death by his former wife, Karen, his parents, Karen M. and Dr. Delwin L. Bokelman and his beloved Bulldog, Katie.

 

Interment will be private in Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown, PA. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held this summer in State College, PA. This obituary will be updated with the information as it becomes available.
