During high school years, he was a bit of an intimidating figure to me as a friend to one of his sons. But as we grew older he became a friend and a source of matter-of-fact life advice. He was very to the point and economical when sharing his wisdom, so if you weren't listening, you might miss it. I always tried to listen. Thank you, Ed...you will be missed and always remembered.
