Obituary of Evelyn S. Hemmig

Evelyn Sara (Rice) Hemmig, 89, of Lansdale, PA passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025.

She was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on September 5, 1935, the daughter of the late William Rice, II and Emmaline (Baum) Rice.

Ms. Rice-Hemmig was active in various sports almost her entire life and animal rescue since 1980.

She worked with Lees Carpets for 35 years, Montgomery Hospital, and Kinetix Sports Club.

Survivors include Nephew William Henry Rice IV of Brooklyn, NY, and Niece Priscilla McAllister of Maine.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother William H. Rice, III.

One last wish that she wanted to leave with all humans is to respect and be kind to all of our animal friends. 

Evelyn's Service and Interment will be private in Valley Forge Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
