Obituary of Thomas J. Kilcoyne, Jr.

Thomas J. Kilcoyne, Jr., 92, of Conshohocken, PA passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa on November 8, 1932, the son of the late Thomas J. and the late Bridget Beatrice (Halligan) Kilcoyne, both formerly of County Mayo, Ireland.

Tom has been living in the Whitemarsh Twp. section of Conshohocken, formerly of the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pa.

He was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken.

He graduated from St. Joseph's College (now University) on the GI Bill.

He worked with Eckert & Mauchly, now Unisys, retiring in 1992 after 37 years of service. He also taught Computer Science at Montgomery County Community College for 32 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.

He loved playing Bridge and valued time spent with family.

Tom was the beloved husband of the late Ann (Stanton) Kilcoyne and was preceded in death by his son Steven Kilcoyne and sister Patricia Hager.

He is survived by his children: Thomas (Carol) Kilcoyne of Collegeville, PA; Neal (Karin) Kilcoyne of Lebanon, PA; John (Kathy) Kilcoyne of Warrington, PA; James Kilcoyne of Conshohocken, PA; Mary (Fred) Rohrer of Warrington, PA; and Jennifer (Stephan) Kilcoyne of Portland, OR.

He is also survived by his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Henry of Willow Grove, PA; 16 grandchildren-Chris, Regina, Bill, Kevin, Aaron, Kelly, Kristine, Katie, Ryan, Alicia, Jenna, Julia, Michael, Jack, Satie, and Odile; and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 to 10:15 AM prior to the Mass.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.
