Obituary of Josephine L. Heiler

Josephine L. (Guarino) Heiler, 96, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Josephine was born on July 28, 1929, in Norristown, the daughter of the late Accursio and Angelina (Bono) Guarino.

Josephine was born and raised in Norristown and lived on Whitehall Road in East Norriton for over 55 years.

She was a woman of deep Christian faith, a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and the devoted wife of the late William T. Heiler for over 63 years.

Josephine enjoyed preparing homemade Italian meals, taking family trips to the Jersey Shore, traveling with her husband, reading the Bible, and spending time with her loved ones. She retired after several years of employment with Leader Nursing Home in the Housekeeping department.

She is survived by her children Jane (Timothy P.) Hayes of Pottstown, Gerald Giovinco of East Norriton, Angela (Frank) Pileggi of Ambler, and Maria Iannuzzi of Roslyn. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Baldassano of Norristown and Jean Guarino of Phoenixville; her grandchildren Lori (Scott) Holmes, Patricia (Kurt) Weiser, Christina (Marc) Swiontek, and Timothy J. (Kasey) Hayes; and her great-grandchildren Michael Holmes, Kara and Madelyn Weiser, and Rowan and Haven Swiontek.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jake and Salvatore Guarino, and her daughter-in-law Kathy Giovinco.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by her memorial service at 10:30 AM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA.
