Obituary of Eric J. Hille

Eric J. Hille, age 65, of Collegeville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

 

He was born in Norristown, PA on August 17, 1960, the son of Mary A. (Gallagher) Hille and the late Eugene C. Hille.  

 

Eric was raised in Trooper and lived most of his life in Collegeville. During his childhood, he was a Boy Scout and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  He was a 1982 graduate of Villanova University where he earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.  He had a long career as a civilian Chemical Engineer for the U.S. Navy.   

 

He is survived by his mother, Mary A. Hille of Trooper; brother, Thomas (Janine) Hille of Newtown; sister, Cindy Rhoads of Trooper; nephew, Stephen Rhoads; two nieces, Kelly Rhoads and Tawnie Rhoads; as well as many cousins. 

 

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Lower Church at Visitation B.V.M., 196 North Trooper Road, Norristown, PA 19403.  Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church.

 

Interment will follow in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.  

 

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Visitation B.V.M. RC Church or Boy Scout Troop 369.  Contributions for the Church and the Scouts may both be mailed to 196 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, PA 19403.
