Elwood Raymond Swanson, Jr.  

Elwood Raymond Swanson, Jr., 87, of Conshohocken, PA passed away Friday, October 10, 2025.

He was born in Norristown, PA on September 22, 1938, the son of the late Elwood and Emma (Hower) Swanson, Sr..

He grew up in Cedar Height which is part of Whitemarsh PA. He was a Steel Worker for Alan Wood Steel and later for Precision Tube Company. His dad owned Swanson Heating and Fuel in Cedar Heights PA

He enjoyed collecting golf balls from local golf courses, looking for deer, bluegrass music, going for walks, and trips to the mountains.

He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Statuti, who passed away on January 4, 2025.

Survivors include his two daughters, Laurie Swanson and Cathy (Paul) Michener; one son, Elwood R. "Butch" Swanson III; two grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) Michener and Jessica Michener, and his sister Mary Emma Swanson Pasquale.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Grace Baptist Church, 437 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
