Robert L. Wood    

Robert L. Wood, 92, of Jeffersonville, PA passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025.

He was born in  Philadelphia, Pa , on April 27, 1933, the son of the late Israel and the late Ruth (Burke) Wood.

Robert has been living in Jeffersonville for the last 10 years, formerly of Norristown, Pa.

He worked with Reilly Whiteman Co. which became BF Goodrich.

He was the husband of Late - Mary D. ( Chmielewski ) Wood.

Survivors include, Daughter Cynthia Gavin of Etters, Pa, Daughter Susan (Dave) Wood of Ormond Beach, Fl, Son Robert Wood of  East Norriton, Pa, and his brother in law George Chmielewski, also survived by his Grandchildren Collin Wood and Jessica Wood and by his many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by sister in law Dot Chmielewski.

Robert was an avid Motorsport fan.  In his earlier years, he traveled and supported driving teams from the Norristown area on the Indy Car Circuit.  There were only a few Nascar tracks not visited.   He was a fixture at the Dover International speedway.   Honored for his 40 years of uninterrupted patronage.   His Richard Petty jacket adorned with buttons and patches earned him the nickname "PATCHES".    He wore the Richard Petty colors proudly.  

He took great pride in his knowledge of most things mechanical, electrical.   He was all about the details.   This led him to becoming the trouble shooter/ building rep  at his last residence.   He loved being able to assist his condo community.   

Celebration of his Life will be announced at a later date.
