Obituary of James P. Dugan, Sr.

James P. Dugan, Sr., age 84, of Conshohocken, PA passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. 

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 9, 1941, the son of the late Edward and Mary (Haines) Dugan.

Prior to his retirement, Jim worked in Maintenance at Villanova University and was a longtime Caddie at Philadelphia Country Club.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne L. Dugan (née Burnheter);
four children, James P. (Rose) Dugan, Jr., Sharon (Michael) Colletti, Brian (Kristina) Dugan and Mary (Stephen) Lockard;
five brothers, Edward (Maggie) Dugan, Michael (Margie) Dugan, Joseph (Cathy) Dugan, Dennis Dugan and Paul (Debbie) Dugan;

nine grandchildren Rebecca, Lynsi, James, Nicholas, Brianna, Nolan, Jared, Kelsey and Eric; and two very dear friends Joe and Debbie.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother,  Francis Dugan and sister, Mary Dugan. 

His Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church prior to Mass. 

Interment will be private at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.  

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Saint Matthew’s Church.
