Lorianne Lori McQuaid

Lori-Anne "Lori" McQuaid (nee Gehret), 58, a resident of Genesis Norriton Square Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Norristown, PA passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA surrounded by her loving family.
 
Lori was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 16, 1967, the daughter of Joan (Kerr) Holmes and the late Joseph Holmes.
 
Lori grew up in Bridgeport, PA and attended Upper Merion High School.  As a child, she enjoyed spending the summers at her parents' house in the Pocono Mountains, where she had many fun adventures with her sisters and many cousins.
 
Prior to being disabled in a serious car accident in June of 2006, she worked as a cashier at Genuardi's and Acme Markets. 

Lori survived many hardships in life, including being diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic at the age of eleven. Even as her health and mobility deteriorated, she was defined by her independence, positivity and perseverance. She truly enjoyed life to the fullest.
 
Lori will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Holly Kane, of Blue Bell, PA; mother, Joan Holmes, of Bridgeport, PA; sisters Cheryl Smith (Dave) and Michele Devine (Jim) both of King of Prussia, PA; stepsister, Janice Brown, of Endicott, NY and stepbrother Gary Holmes (Agnès) of La Celle-St-Cloud, France.
 
Along with her late father, Lori was preceded in death by her daughter Jessica L. Kane (1993-2021).
 
She was loved by many nieces, nephews and close cousins.

Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 10:30 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private in St. Augustine Cemetery.
