Ronald J. Gosdeck Obituary

Ronald J. Gosdeck, age 78, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Born in Buffalo, New York on June 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Kermit and Mary Jane (O'Brien) Gosdeck.

Ron lived an adventurous life first leaving the U.S. at age 19 for England where he honorably served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He learned to fly while serving in England and from then on flying was a life-long passion as was golf, photography and travel. He was fortunate to have visited 35 countries in his lifetime.

When he retired as the Vice President of Global Recruiting for Unisys in 2012, he volunteered as a tour guide at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, PA. He also did extensive benevolent work for the first women’s flying advocacy organization called “The 99s”.

After New York and England, Ron lived in Vermont, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Michigan before moving to Pennsylvania where he resided in Blue Bell, Kimberton, Exton and Collegeville. In addition he did a two year stint in Kuwait as head of Human Resources for a company supplying food to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As much as he loved flying, his ultimate passion was his family.  He is survived by his wife, Sharon Gosdeck (née Hamrick) of Collegeville; two daughters, Lisa (Jonathan) Gelaude of Denver, CO and Robin (TJ) Kokolis of North Potomac, MD; step daughter, Jennifer L. Bowden of Gilbertsville, PA; two brothers, Thomas (Catherine) Gosdeck of Banner Elk, NC and William (Carol) Gosdeck of Alden, NY;  and 4 grandchildren, Kendall Bowden, Quentin Bowden, Christopher Kokolis, and Alexandra Kokolis.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Mosey and Mary Ann Neuman.

There will be a private remembrance at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero on March 31, followed by Interment in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ron’s name to the Eastern Pennsylvania (EPA) 99 scholarship fund at:
