John J. Malloy Obituary
John J. Malloy
John “Buffy” Malloy, 75, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 18, 1951, he was the son of the late Elmer and Joan (McDevitt) Kulp.
John most recently resided in Plymouth Meeting and had previously lived in Conshohocken and Bucks County. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. A dedicated member of his community, John volunteered with the Conshohocken Fire Police and was a member of the Italian American Club of King of Prussia (L.A.M. Lodge).
John worked as a tractor-trailer driver for Wonder Bread for 41 years and was a devoted member of Teamsters Union Local 463. A true highway hero, he was recognized for his bravery in saving two lives while on the job and was honored with a safe driver award for traveling over 100,000 miles accident-free.
He was the beloved husband of Linda (DiNiglio) Malloy, with whom he shared 49 fun-filled years of marriage. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son, David (Gina) Malloy of Philadelphia, PA; his daughter, Amy (Nick) Williamson of Conshohocken, PA; his brother, Ed (Donna) Kulp of Oreland, PA; his sisters, Christina Eichengreen of North Palm Beach, FL, Joan (Jim) McCoy of Horsham, PA, and Jacki (Walt) Simmons of North Hills, PA; his brother-in-law, Bob Courts of Collegeville, PA; and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Francesca.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Courts, and his brothers-in-law, Tony DiNiglio, Frank DiNiglio, and Russ Eichengreen.
John will be remembered for his deep love of family and friends, his warm and generous spirit, and his joy in sharing good food around the table with those he loved most. He knew where to find the best hot dogs and rarely passed up a little sambuca. A proud and devoted “Pop Pop,” he took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and creating lasting memories. He especially loved traveling with his wife and treasured their time at Night in Venice in Ocean City, NJ.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, 815 Thomas Road, Lafayette Hill, PA.
