Jon B. Ganser, 87, of Blue Bell, PA passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026. 


He was born in Norristown, Pa on June 24, 1938, the son of the late Biron and the late Elizabeth (March) Ganser.


Jon has lived in Blue Bell, Pa since 1954, most of his life except for the last 2 years he has been living at Shannondell.


He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Blue Bell, Pa since the mid 1950's and he had served on Church Council and as Church Treasurer.


He served in the US Army.


Jon was a graduate of Gettysburg College (Class of 1960) with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting.  He first worked for several Public Accounting firms and earned his CPA certification in 1970.  He subsequently worked for an extended number of years as an Accountant in the Philadelphia corporate offices of IU International until that company was bought out.  He then joined the Finance Department of Montgomery County as Assistant to the Director and subsequently took over the title of Director of Finance.  He retired in 2008 at  the age of 70.   As part of his duties as Montgomery County Director of Finance he served 19 years on the Board of Directors of the Water System Authority of Eastern Montgomery County.


Survivors include Brother Allen Ganser of Devon, Also survived by many cousins.


His Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM from St. John Lutheran Church, 1802 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA.


Friends may call on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. 


Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery Co., following the service.
