Earle “Jay” Stackhouse, Jr., age 87, of Collegeville, PA, husband of Bonnie Stackhouse (née Bell) passed away suddenly in his home on Monday, May 11, 2026.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 27, 1939, the son of the late Earle Stackhouse, Sr. and the late Rhoda (Barnes) Stackhouse.

Jay lived in Collegeville since 1992. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated a home and office cleaning business with his wife Bonnie.  He was an animal lover, who looked forward to caring for all of the animals in heaven. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Michele and son-in-law Michael Melville; daughter Lori Salvarlis; his stepdaughters Diane Ott, Cynthia Kirkpatrick and Gay (Dale) Arner; his grandson Andrew DeCordre; two nephews, William Steigerwalt and Brian Steigerwalt; and by his constant cat companion, Bella. 

The family will hold a private memorial.  As Jay loved cats, memorial donations may be directed to KittyMamas Sanctuary Rescue (www.kittymamas.org).
