Constance C. McAllister  

Constance "Connie" (Conway) McAllister passed away peacefully in her home in Ocean Reef Key Largo, FL on Sunday May 10th 2026.

She is survived by her loving children Christa Ann "Kerry" (John) Gambescia Shannon of Far Hills, NJ,  Joseph Gambescia III of  Big Sky, Montana, Elisabeth McAllister of Jupiter, Fl, Mark (Kate) McAllister of Berwyn, Pa, and Wendy (Jay Moran) McAllister of Berwyn, Pa, along with 8 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.  Also survived by her longtime care giver Nadia Sinclair.

Connie was born and raised in Villanova PA along with her 8 brothers and sisters.  She graduated from Radnor High School and secretary school. She was proficient in short hand, She and her late husband D Edward McAllister (Tex) met on a blind date fell in love and combined and raised their families in Ardmore Pa. They enjoyed summers in Avalon and Stone Harbor and winters in Naples and the Ocean Reef Club.

After Tex's passing Connie remained in Ocean Reef and also enjoyed a country home in Far Hills NJ with Kerry and her husband John for 9 years and for the past 2 years a beautiful Jersey shore view from her beach condo in Long Branch NJ.

In addition to her loving family Connie leaves behind her beloved dog Fifi a couton de couture who will have a home with Connie’s beloved friend and companion Nadia Sinclair. 

Connie was well known as tiny but fiesty and enjoyed her golden margarita, general hospital and caught up with friends. She was an outstanding cook in her day and a beautiful needlepoint artist and could give you a good game of scrabble.

Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Washington Memorial Chapel, Route 23 Valley Forge Park, Valley Forge, PA.

Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery, Valley Forge, PA.  

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation Eastern PA Chapter, 219 North Broad Street, Fl 2, Philadelphia, Pa 19107.
