Obituary of Ferdinand "Fred" J. Ranieri

Ferdinand "Fred" J. Ranieri, 79, of West Conshohocken, PA  passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 . 

He was born in Norristown, PA on April 3, 1938 and he grew up in Bridgeport, Pa. 

Fred has lived in West Conshohocken since 1986, formerly of the Wissahickon, Roxborough, and Manayunk sections of Philadelphia.

Fred was a member of St. Matthew’s RC Church of Conshohocken and a former member of St. Gertrude RC Church of West Conshohocken. 

He served in the Air Force as an Air Craft Instrument Technician at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana, where he received Outstanding Unit Award.

He graduated from the College of Great Falls.  He returned to Pennsylvania and worked as an English Teacher with the Philadelphia Board of Education for 30 years until he retired from Saul High School in 1993.

He enjoyed watching football especially Notre Dame.

Son of the late Nicholas A.  & Eileen M. (Cashore) Ranieri.

Survivors include his wife: Susan A. (Zschocher) Ranieri of West Conshohocken, PA;

daughter: Michelle L. (& James W. ) Di Emedio of South Portland, ME;

3 grandchildren: Erica, Zachary, and Alexandria,

and his nephew: James (& Courtney) Ranieri of Davidson, NC. 

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph W. Ranieri, and his beloved dog, Gus.                 

His Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 10:30 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428.

Friends may call on Wednesday Morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Fred's memory to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, 222 North 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
