Etta has lived in Lafayette Hill, Pa since 1975, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa She graduated from John Bartram High School, For 19 years she had been employed by General Motors (Pontiac Division) as a Data Prep Operator, Employed as a salesgirl for Strawbridge & Clothier and was last employed as a file clerk with the Plymouth Risk Management Inc. before retiring She resided in Roxborough before Lafayette Hill with her first husband, the late Calvin B. Kyriss, Sr who died in 1977 She was a member of Conshohocken United Methodist Church in Conshohocken She was a member of the Palestine Chapter #250, Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron, also a member of the Advisory Board for the Betsy Ross Assembly #174, International Rainbow for Girls in Roxborough
