Obituary of Carl C. Rost

Carl C. Rost

Carl C. Rost, 77, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 2, 1946, the son of the late John and the late Ann (Chieffalo) Rost.

Carl has lived most of his life in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. His entire life was devoted to his family and friends. Never short of a joke or a way to make you laugh. Carl was loved by everyone who knew him.

He graduated from Plymouth - Whitemarsh High School, class of 1964, playing baseball throughout his school years, a natural catcher who gained the nickname “Yogee”.

Over the years Carl was always on the go and active. He enjoyed coaching and playing Plymouth Twp. men's softball with his sons, playing volleyball at Century Village with Florida friends, spending time with all his grandchildren, and most of all time at the beach.

Carl held several jobs throughout his career. The HARDEST working man in the world. He was everyone’s friend and everyone’s Mr. Fix It. The Charles Chip man was a kid’s favorite, but most notably he worked as a self-employed contractor under the company name Carl Rost & Sons.

He was the husband of Cindy (Burns) Rost for over 44 years, they loved each other, through thick-and-thin, and worked together to build a wonderful family with so many memories and traditions to cherish.

Survivors include Wife Cindy Rost of Plymouth Meeting, Son Carl C. (& Lisa) Rost, Jr. of Robesonia, Son Stephen (& Kimberly Berry) Rost, Sr. of Robesonia, Daughter Tracy (& Brian) House of Gilbertsville, Son Justin (& Nikki) Rost of Worcester, Son Brandon (& Talia) Rost of Worcester, Daughter Carly (& Bryan) Rost of Plymouth Meeting, Brother John "Jack" (& Anne) Rost of Gettysburg, also survived by his Grandchildren Christina, Craig, Jena, Stephen, Jr., Alex, Emily, Bryanna, Meghan, Vayda, Lianna, Nicholas, Celia, Emelia, Mia and Luciano, and 11 Great Grandchildren.

His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:30 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA, with Fr. Tom Heron officiating.
