Obituary of Susan Love-Granese

Susan Love-Granese

Susan Love-Granese, age 58, of Conshohocken, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Susan was born in Norristown on December 15, 1965, the daughter of Ann (Krebel) and the late James "Pete" Love. Susan was the beloved wife of Michael Anthony Granese for 37 years.

Susan grew up at 11th and Fayette Streets in Conshohocken. She attended St. Matthew grade school and graduated from Archbishop Kennedy High School in 1983. She went on to qualify as a licensed cosmetologist, and later earned her cosmetology teaching credentials from Empire Beauty School. She worked as a teacher for many years and later achieved her dream of owning her own salon. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Church

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by her sons – Michael (Miranda) Granese, Jr. and Nicholas (Colleen) Granese. Susan was a doting Grandmom to Aubree, Makayla and Colton. She is also survived by her mother Ann Love, sisters Jane (Stephen Doohan) and Kristin (Christopher Mondik) and brother Peter (Teresita Vivo), her brother-in-law Louie Granese, dear friend Mary Tiernan, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and students.

Susan touched many lives during her time with us. She was a generous and loyal friend who never forgot a birthday or special occasion. There was always music when Susan was around, usually hits from the 70’s. At heart, Susan was an artist with an innate eye for beauty, whether it was hair, fashion, or interior design. She loved dogs, especially her Doberman Egypt, and horses and was an accomplished equestrienne. Her compassion and community spirit were manifested in her volunteer service delivering meals on wheels for the Colonial Neighborhood Council. But being a mother was the joy of her life and she delighted in her grandchildren. Susan was a devoted daughter and some of her favorite moments were spent at the family home in Ocean City, fishing and crabbing with her parents, husband, and sons.

Friends may call on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
