Obituary of Robert L. Meszaros

Robert L. Meszaros, age 82, formerly of Conshohocken, PA passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA.

He was born in Phoenixville, PA on January 5, 1942, the son of the late Joseph  L. and Mary (Galambos) Meszaros.

Robert spent the majority of his life in Conshohocken and Plymouth Meeting, PA. He was a devoted member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Norristown. Over the course of a distinguished career in banking, Robert played a key role in supporting local developers with the construction of homes and office buildings. His professional journey began at Bridgeport Federal, Progress Bank, and Royal Bank, culminating at Malvern Federal Savings Bank. Robert cherished time spent with his wife and family, enjoyed traveling, and had a fondness for visiting casinos.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army.

He was the husband of the late Helene E. (Gunning) Meszaros.  

He is survived by his son, Christopher (Ursula) Meszaros; daughter, Helene (John) Jones; son, Stephan (Paula) Meszaros; two brothers, Ronald (Carla) Meszaros and Richard Meszaros; and step brother, Raymond (Rita) Messmer.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Meszaros.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, September 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

His Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in St. John Episcopal Church Cemetery, Norristown, PA.  

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made to any charity supporting Veterans.
