Robert A. Zinni Obituary
Robert A. (Bob) Zinni, age 90, of Philadelphia, PApassed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his entire family.
Bob was born in Conshohocken, PA on July 1, 1934, the son of the late Anthony and Louise (Ruggiero) Zinni.
He lived most of his adult life in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church and a longtime parishioner of the former St. Josaphat's RC Church in Manayunk. After graduating high school, he worked at the former Alan Wood Steel Co. before attending The Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He had a long career as a Manager of Inside Sales for C & D Technologies. At home, he enjoyed maintaining his vegetable garden for many years, and looked forward to playing in the family horseshoe tournaments at all summer barbeques. Other passions included watching sports and keeping up with the current news on a daily basis.
He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra M. (Witucki) Zinni.
He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Zinni of Conshohocken, Cheryl (Vinny) Nave of Royersford, and Corinne (Roger) Hillanbrand of Andorra; and three sisters, Marlene Collins, Mary Hannoun, and Louise Zinni, all of Conshohocken. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Anthony, Noah, Brooke, Ethan, Noelle and Joseph.
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Francis Zinni; and two sisters, Carol Tinneny and Theresa McGrath.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM from Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 819 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church.
Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
