Obituary of William G. Lord

William G. Lord, of Blue Bell, PA, went home to Heaven on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Bill was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 27, 1949, the son of the late Louis J. and Marion (Nulty) Lord.  Bill attended St. Agnes Elementary School and St. Francis Prep High School.

He received an appointment to the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, where he graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant in June, 1971.  While at West Point, Bill lettered in both Football and Baseball, and had the privilege of playing against both the NY Yankees and the NY Mets.  He served in Schweinfurt, Germany and Ft. Ord, California, before leaving the Army with the rank of Captain in 1976.

After leaving the service, Bill worked for Merck & Co. before becoming a Partner in the Executive Recruiting firm of Everett Kelley Associates in Philadelphia, PA.

Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Lord (nee Trimber), of Blue Bell, PA; two children, Jennifer (Martin) Earley, of Royersford, PA and Adam (Melissa) Lord of Royersford, PA; his two step-children, Wendy Borchetti of Lansdale, PA and Joseph Borchetti of Glen Burnie, MD; and his sisters Patricia (Arthur, deceased) Burke, of Brick, NJ, Joan (Eddie) Hudson of Brooklyn, NY, and Kathleen (Kevin) Scanlon of Whitestone, NY.

Bill was the very proud "Papa" to eight beloved grandchildren:  Annalese, Anthony, Genevieve, Avery, Wyatt, Adrian, Claire and Evan.  Of all Bill's accomplishments in life, his proudest moments were being a constant source of support and love for all his children and grandchildren.  His admiration and love for his family translated into every aspect of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service on Thursday, January 9th, 2025.  Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Mass at 11:00 am.  All services will be at Bill's Parish church, St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA  19403.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, or to the charity of your choice.
