Joseph Francis O’Brien, 58, long-time resident of West Norriton and Collegeville, passed away on November 22, 2016. Born in Philadelphia on March 21, 1958, he was the son of John and Suzanne O’Brien.

Joe attended St Teresa’s, Archbishop Carroll, and the University of Tampa. He played many sports growing up and worked at SmithKline Clinical Labs and Quest Diagnostics for over twenty years in Procurement Management. Joe was very active in coaching at Visitation and was an avid Florida State Football, Nascar, and professional golf fan. He was also an animal lover and always had multiple pets. Those that knew him, know that he was a one-of-a-kind person, full of life, and always ready with a joke and a helping hand. He gave the ultimate gift and became a donor to the Gift of Life.

Surviving Joe are his parents Suzanne and John, former spouse, Gloria; son, Sean; daughter, Katelynn; grandchildren, Kaia and Ava; brother and sister-in law, Kevin and Rose, and nephew and niece, Trevor and Maeve.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Joe’s life by attending his visitation on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 9:30am, followed by his Memorial Service at 10:30 am, from the Moore, Snear and Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401. Interment will be private.
