Obituary of Frank J. Sliker

Frank J. Sliker passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the age of 69. Frank was a resident of West Norriton, PA and Sea Isle City, NJ, formerly of Roxborough, PA. He was born in Philadelphia on January 23, 1947, the son of the late Frank and Mary Edytha Sliker. Frank was the loving husband of Barbara "Bobbi" (Serafin) Sliker. He was also the very proud father of Dr. Judith (& Stan) Belkowski of East Norriton, PA, Susan (& Steve) Askey of Blandon, PA and Dr. Barbara (& Josh) Weikert of Collegeville, PA and the awesome Pop Pop of Bethany and Katy Belkowski and Stephen Francis Askey. Frank worked for Turner Construction Company for over 42 years before retiring in January of 2009. He worked on 27 projects during his tenure with Turner including: Bridgeton Hospital, the Hospital of the Univeristy of Pennsylvania – MRI Center, Villanova University – Liberal Arts Center, St. Luke's Hospital and St. Joseph's Medical Center. After retiring, Frank enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends in Sea Isle. He loved teaching the grandchildren about the tidal pools and all the treasures that could be discovered in one. He was a friend to everyone; always quick with a joke, story or a few words of wisdom/Sliker-isms. His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Titus RC Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank's memory to: St. Mary Polish American Society, 369 Summit Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
