Obituary of Michael E. Etheridge

Etheridge, Michael E. of Trappe, formerly of Conshohocken, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Michael was born in Conshohocken on July 19, 1945, a son of the late Samuel and Annie (Faribault ) Ethridge. Michael graduated from Conshohocken High School and was a member of their 1964 State Championship basketball team. He was a member of St Paul's Baptist Church in Conshohocken. Michael worked as a truck driver and for Alan Wood Steel in Conshohocken and later for Wayne Carmint in King of Prussia. Michael is survived by his wife, Janice (Russell) Etheridge. Also surviving are his children: Wendy Etheridge-Smith (Bryan) of Pittsburgh, Paige Gee of Texas, Allison Zion (David) of Florida and Michael Etheridge, Jr. (Kim) of Plymouth Meeting; his step-children: Charlene Brinsky of Delaware, Craig Metzger of Trappe, and Amanda Wetter (Robert) of Lansdale; his grandchildren; Jazmine, Jaden, Sarah, Isaac, Jordan, Jeremiah, Jaxson, Courtney, Alyssa, Andrew, Ava, John, Anna, Ryan, Grace, and Christine. In addition, he is survived by his brothers Thomas Etheridge (Ethel), Donald Etheridge, and Earl Mims (Carol) and by his sisters MaryLou Goodman and Rose Wylie. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Philip Etheridge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Gulph Christian Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA 19428. Friends may call on Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear, Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.
