Chilly nights at the new Arcola soccer fields, That is what I remember. I was in seventh and eight grade when Mr. Stratton was my coach. I can still hear him calling instructions from the sideline. I probably needed lots of instructions. I followed in his foot steps sort of, when I was coach for several years at the Y here in Georgia. Soccer was big part of my life in High School and College but looking back, the game was most fun when I had coaches like Mr. Stratton. He was always positive, always encouraging us to believe we could win and Beat Epiphany, St Helena's or Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Sorry to read about his passing.
To the Stratton Family,
I am sorry for your loss of Mr. Stratton. He was known by many astudents he touched the lives of many more. It is my hope that the wonderful memories you have give you comfort at this difficult time. The bible promises us at Psalms 37:29 that our loved ones who are here with us for such a short time will live again upon a restored paradise earth. At Ezekiel 18:32 it tells us “I do not take any pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.” As you can see, it is not God's will for us to die which is why he has given us the hope of everlasting lifeAs the God and Father of tender mercies, he wants you to find comfort in Him through prayer. Sorrowfully yours,
