Daniel was born and raised in Norristown, and then lived most of his life in Conshohocken, Pa He served in the US Navy. He was a retired plumbing inspector with Radnor Township. Daniel had also worked with Alan Wood Steel, where he also served as Union Financial Secretary. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Club of Norristown, Pa, Conshohocken VFW Post # 1074, Conshohocken Bocce Club, and the Andrew Lanutti Veteran Post of Conshohocken
