Obituary of Marjorie J. Traister

Marjorie J. Traister died on Thursday, Feb. 21 2013, at the Genesis Fairview HealthCare Center in Chestnut Hill. Marjorie was 78 years old and had been a resident of Genesis Fairview for the past nine months. Marjorie was born on Dec. 4, 1934, in West Conshohocken to the late Francis J. Clark and Vera M. (Meyers) Clark. Marjorie resided in Conshohocken for most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Matthew High School. Marjorie was employed for 28 years by the Bell Telephone Company in Conshohocken as a stock room clerk where she also served as president of local #13000 of the Communication Workers of America. Marjorie was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Matthew Parish, Conshohocken. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travelling after her retirement. She was especially fond of all things associated with her Irish heritage, having made 15 visits to Ireland. Marjorie is survived by two sons, Robert (Connie) of Voorhees, N.J. and Thomas (Colleen) of King of Prussia. She is also survived by two brothers, Francis (Margaret) Clark of Newark, Del., and Dennis (Patricia) Clark of Sanatoga, Pa. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, and Eric Traister of Voorhees, N.J., and Danielle (Andrew) Banducci of Arlington, Va., and Kaitlin Traister of King of Prussia. Marjorie is also survived by five aunts, Sister Francis Dolores SSJ, Saint Joseph Villa, Flourtown, Patricia Gleason, Sarasota, Fla., Theresa McMahon, Roxborough, Jeanne Biedlingmaier, Ambler, Eleanor Dieroff of Blue Bell, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her memorial mass will be held on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette St. Conshohocken, Pa. There will be a visitation for family and friends to greet the family on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church.
