Times Herald Obituary – for next edition

Geraldine M. Kontra, 81, of Conshohocken, PA passed away peacefully at her home on October 7, 2017.

She was born in Conshohocken on August 15, 1936, the daughter of Peter and Margaret (Carmen) Delliponti.

Geraldine was a life-long resident of Conshohocken. She was a caregiver and a worrier, and brought love to everyone she met. Geraldine was a beautiful person, inside and out, and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, John F. Kontra, Sr. of Conshohocken;

daughter, Lisa Whitley of Conshohocken;

son, John F. ( & Ann) Kontra, Jr. of Conshohocken;

brother, Andy ( & Jean) Delliponti of Conshohocken;

grandson, Jeffrey Whitley;

three granddaughters, Jessica & Elliana Kontra and Hannah Fantanares;

as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by three brothers, Peter, Nicky & Paul Delliponti and a sister, Betty Kontra.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM from the St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the church.

Interment will take place in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
