My condolences, sorry to hear of your loss. Death always causes pain and sorrow. You can gain a measure of comfort in knowing that when Jesus lost his dear friend Lazarus in death, he said, as recorded at John 11:11, "Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him." At John 11:43 Jesus called out at Lazarus' tomb, "Lazarus, come out!" and Lazarus was resurrected, awakened from death. Jesus will do the same for us. At John 5:28, 29 it tells us "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Yes, we can look forward to seeing our loved ones again in the very near future when Jesus resurrects them.
