Robert R. Speak, age 86 of Conshohocken, died Friday, March 29, 2013 in St. Joseph's Manor of Abington Twp, Meadowbrook. Born in Roxborough, Section of Philadelphia PA on February 17, 1927, son of the late Margaret J. (Stoeckel) and Crossley Ralph Speak. Robert was of Cedar Heights section of Conshohocken. He was a former member of Lincoln Fire Co., where he played catcher for their baseball team. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a real sportsman who enjoyed most sports especially Baseball, Hunting, Fishing, and riding motor cycles and also enjoyed traveling and visited just about every state. Robert is survived by daughters, Robyn Speak Walsh of South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Renee Speak Ruetenik of San Diego, CA, Ruthann Speak Lyons of Philadelphia, Rita Speak Heigl of Doylestown, PA, and Richele Speak Kneis of Millersville, MD; son, Randy Speak of Chalfont; brother, Richard Speak of Miquon, PA. Also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ruth Krill . His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Valley Forge Gardens, King of Prussia.
