Obituary of Tony McCafferty

Tony McCafferty, 76, of East Norriton, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Norristown, PA on September 21, 1941, son of the late Joseph A. and Madelyn (Foley) McCafferty. 

Tony has been living in East Norriton for 53 years and was a member of St. Titus RC Church.  

He was an Electrician and the Business Manager for IBEW Local Union 380.  In addition he was a First District  International Executive Council member for the IBEW and was elected to serve as the International Secretary.  

He was a member of the Elks Lodge of North Wildwood and the AOH Notre Dame Division 1, Montgomery County.  Tony enjoyed playing & watching golf and cheering on his favorite local sports teams. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.    

Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years: Eleanor M. (McCabe) McCafferty of East Norriton; 

Two daughters: Dawn (Robert) Hoffman of East Norriton and Nora (Allen) Maples of Wilmington, DE;

Son: Joseph A. (Lynne) McCafferty, Jr. of East Norriton;

Three sisters: Madelyn McNerney, Patricia McCafferty and  Martha Leach;  

Brother: Michael McCafferty; 

Five grandchildren: Olivia, Sinead, CJ, Ava & Emmie; 

as well as many nieces and nephews.     

Along with his parents, Tony was preceded in death by two sisters: Geraldine Bradbury and Maryann McCafferty.  

His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Titus RC Church, 3006 Keenwood Rd, East Norriton, PA 19403.  

Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church. 

Entombment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
