Obituary of Charles W. Wacker

Charles W. Wacker, age 88, a lifelong Norristown area resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Sunrise At Blue Bell Senior Living Community. Mr. Wacker was born August 29, 1929 in Norristown, PA. He was the son of the late Charles J.and Kathryn (McNamara) Wacker. He was the husband of 46 years of the late Mary Ann (Bolton) Wacker. He was a 1947 graduate of West Catholic High School, and he was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was hired by the Insurance Company of North America as an underwriter and later became an independent agent with Insurance Agencies in Norristown, Ardmore and Bala Cynwyd, Pa. Later he was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Insurance Department as a Special Investigator, retiring in 1998. He was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in East Norriton, Pa. He is survived by three sons: Charles J.(Nina) Wacker, Gregory G. (Patty) Wacker; and Bruce T. (Janet) Wacker; Brothers, Edward & Joseph Wacker; Sister, Patricia Fraschetta; Sister, Cassie Galloway; Grandchildren, C.J, Lindsey, Alayna, Katie, Sean, Chrissy, Cara, Timmy, and Brian. He was preceded in death by his brothers; William & John Wacker. A Funeral Mass for Charles will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Philip Neri RC Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
