I am saddened that Nancy has passed on. She brought a pixie like magic with her when she entered the Tremblay family. Her sweetness and common sense were her badge and I am honored to know her. Nancy and my brother Pierre had this amazing love that transcended everything and will continue to do so now. That kind of love carries on forever. My heart is with you and I am sending you loving thoughts.

Nancy was a wonderful person and an incredible advocate and support person for the women and children we serve. She was always gracious and full of positive energy and light. I will remember her fondly. With sympathy to her family and friends.

I did not know this incredible lady, but I have the good fortune to work and share a friendship with her daughter, Kristie, another amazing woman. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy twelve years ago and remember that beautiful smile and her warmth as my first impression. Wonderful memories over the years of visiting Nancy and Pierre in their beautiful home, brunch at Langdon Hall with the Tremblay family, the unforgettable Raven Lake week , a trip to the casino - of course and trips to the Thousand Islands where we enjoyed chatting and discovered our mutual passion for helping women leaving abusive relationships . I knew Nancy as a beautiful and caring person whose compassion shone through . Last year's trip to the Thousand Islands was the way I choose to remember Nancy - smiling, playing FLOW on the ipad, chatting and sitting in her favorite spot on the deck of the boathouse enjoying the view. Nancy, your humour, strength , courage and grace was an inspiration and I will miss you .

Nancy and I were friends for more than 30years. Our friendship was a blessing, she was the definition of what an awesome friend is. All the girl's weddings were so memorable, but most recently was our girls weekend getaway to the Borgata, need I say more. I laughed so hard, I fell off the bed.....Our time shared over the years will always have a very special place in my heart. You will be missed, but never forgotten, rest now....

Impossible to compact 40 years of memories of a wonderful woman, one I was blessed to call friend. Way back when, Nancy and I were neighbors, young mothers who shared the ups and downs of raising young children. Back in the 70s we thought we were so enlightened as part of a "consciousness raising" group that met monthly. As the years passed we each moved and were busy raising families. We could go months, even years with little contact but seemed to just know when the other needed a friend. We would get together and work out our problems, it always felt like we'd just had lunch last week. I visited Nancy at a difficult time in her life in UK, she called when my mother died and was there for me, so many of those times throughout the years. I was so blessed to get to visit Nancy a few weeks ago and although ALS had ravaged the body, I could see the vibrant beautiful woman I called friend. Rest in peace, friend.

First and foremost – Nancy’s great love story with Pierre, one that will live on in the annals of our family history forever. Enjoying the spring flowers together in Caledon, Ontario - weeks after her spring flowers had bloomed in Philly; brunching and laughing together at my home in High Park, Toronto - with Pierre and friends; wandering through Old Montreal with a sweet side trip to the Botanical Gardens – with Pierre, my Mom, April, Looey, my Aunt Marty and others; viewing Mars in the Night Sky at Puslinch Lake with Pierre, Kathy and her kids – during the kids’ first trip out of the country, I believe; the budding excitement and fun of heading out in the cavalcade from Puslinch Lake to Raven Lake during the summer of 2003; our rockin' bonfires (thanks to Pierre and Looey) and chuckling about my cussing out the odd Mexican or two at Raven Lake; catching Looey and Pierre cheating during the Scavenger Hunt at Raven Lake; laughing like fools when Looey got royally spooked by a grandfather raccoon; enjoying home-brewed coffee in the Cuisinart coffee maker Nancy kindly toted to the cottage; The Spudnik!!!We screamed, plugged our ears, and prayed the neighbors weren’t watching when Pierre, Looey and Justin sent potatoes flying across the lake!!; sharing meals, memories and fun at The Thousand Islands in 2010…….and her stopping traffic to protect a turtle making its way across the road. We poked fun at her for holding up traffic, but were grateful to her for watching out for those who were slower and needing more protection than others. Rest in peace, Nancy.

The memorable and delightful Scavenger Hunt in Northern Ontario, jet skiing in the Thousand Islands, golf cart trips to the pier with the family for ice-cream cones, Nancy's visit to my home in Canada, and the most loving, incredible partner to my brother, Pierre.
