Obituary of Reverend Ramon E. Martinez

The Reverend Ramon E. Martinez, 77, ofLimerickTownship died Wednesday, July 10, 2013. He was the husband of Donna Martinez, to whom he was married 44 years; father of Dorothea Landis (James), and Cynthia Martinez (G. Brian Schad); grandfather of Jessica Landis, and brother of Yolanda Martinez. Born in Belize on February 20, 1936, he earned hi sU.S.citizenship in the 1970's. Reverend Martinez was a pastor in the United Methodist Church, retiring in 1999 fromTemple United Methodist Church. He served in missions throughout his life, including Puerto Rico,Montserrat, and the Caribbean, as well as missions within the southeast United States. Much of his mission work involved construction which he enjoyed, excelling in all phases, and was a Sunday mechanic when it came to automobiles. The Reverend Reid Stroud will preside at a memorial service for Reverend Martinez on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 2:30 in the afternoon at Landisville Camp Meeting, 201 Church Street, Landisville PA 17538. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Limerick Garden of Memories.
