David P. "Mick" McTamney, age 51 of Blue Bell, died Monday, October 14, 2013 in Florida. Husband of Colette (Vaughan) McTamney. Born in Norristown, on August 28, 1962, he was the son of Carol Romano of Blue Bell. Mick has lived in Blue Bell since 2003, he was born and raised in Plymouth Meeting. He was a member of St. Genevieve RC Church of Flourtown, Pa. He graduated from Plymouth - Whitemarsh High School class of 1980, where he played Soccer, Football, & Baseball, and was a 1984 Graduate of Villanova University. He was a self-employed Medical Equipment salesman with 101 Medical Equipment. He was a very generous person and a huge fan of all sports. He enjoyed fishing at his mountain home and spending time with his friends and family. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a son, Shane McTamney of Blue Bell; daughter, Anna McTamney of Blue Bell. Also survived by cousins and many friends. His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. from the St. Genevieve RC Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, Pa 19031 with Msgr. Michael J. Matz officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M at the Church. Interment will be private in George Washington Memorial Park.
